DNS Resolver
The SR2® Cloud DNS resolver is designed for civil society organisations (CSOs) to protect themselves from online threats. As a trusted partner of many CSOs, we receive information about attacks that are directly relevant to this community and regularly update our service to block any requests that might lead to a phishing attack, spyware, or ransomware infection.
Quick Configuration
If you are able to configure your device's DNS server by IP address, just update your system to use either (or both) of:
144.76.160.1942a01:4f8:2210:23ea::4
Encrypted DNS
The above IP addresses support DNS-over-TLS and also DNS-over-HTTPS. If you are able to configure these in your system, they will provide protection from your ISP snooping on your DNS requests, although DNS requests will still be made unencrypted by our resolver and will be seen by the site you are looking up.
Mobile (iOS)
Our SR2® Cloud DNS app is available for iOS to automatically configure your device to use our resolver with encryption.
False Positives
False positives, and other issues, can be reported via email to contact@sr2.uk. We aim to respond to the reports within 72 hours.
